After a whirlwind of job changes and waving goodbye to our kids as they head off to college, we found ourselves in need of a healthy (and wallet-friendly) way to boost our mental health. So, naturally, we took the great advice of nature and headed back up north to where it all began. Yes, we returned to the mountains we neglected in our youthful days of being "young and dumb"—because who wouldn’t want to trade late nights for hiking trails?

Join us as we tackle a variety of trails—some that leave us gasping for air and others that are perfect for the whole family (and by “family,” we mean the dog, too). We’re on a mission to explore the great outdoors and share our escapades with you, so you can plan your own New England adventure. Our itinerary includes discovering quirky new towns, revisiting beloved favorites, enjoying the fresh air, and, of course, indulging in some seriously good eats.

Thanks for tuning in! If you have any recommendations or questions (or just want to share your favorite snack for the trail), we’re all ears!

We both grew up in New England and met in college in the '90s. Since then, we've lived in three of the six New England states. We love to hike, ski (Mike more than G), paddleboard (G more than Mike), and generally spend time outdoors. Of course, we always enjoy good snacks and finding great places to eat!
